Steps
Step 1:
Grill or oven roast Cheesy Texan until the internal temperature reaches 165 F.
Step 2:
While sausage cooks, bring a pot of water to boil.
Step 3:
Cook pasta to al dente (usually 1-2 minutes less than the suggested cooking time on package).
Step 4:
Once sausage is cooked set aside to rest for several minutes.
Step 5:
Dice sausage into 1/4 inch pieces.
Step 6:
Drain pasta.
Step 7:
Return pasta back to pot and add half stick of butter, milk, cheeses, and Velveeta. Stir until all is melted and coated throughout.
Step 8:
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Step 9:
Add cubed sausage and stir into mac.
Step 10:
Place mac into casserole dish.
Step 11:
In a separate bowl add breadcrumbs.
Step 12:
In another microwave safe dish, melt remaining 1/2 stick of butter.
Step 13:
Pour butter into bowl with bread crumbs and stir until butter is absorbed.
Step 14:
Top the mac in the casserole dish with bread crumbs. Be sure to spread evenly across dish.
Step 15:
Bake until bread crumbs are golden brown.
Step 16:
Serve as a side or an entree.
