Steps
Step 1:
Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 2:
Add the olive oil and brown the sausages, turning frequently, but not cooking all the way.
Step 3:
Set aside to cool slightly, then slice into two-inch slices.
Step 4:
In the same pan over medium heat, add more olive oil then the onion and bell peppers. Season with salt and pepper and sauté until onions are translucent and bell peppers are tender.
Step 5:
Deglaze the pan with the water or white wine.
Step 6:
Add the garlic, oregano, basil and toss to combine.
Step 7:
Add sausage back into the pan and cook all the way through.
Step 8:
Serve immediately.
